Rear Tine Tiller 20" attachment Facts

• 20” width. Also rated for an 8” tilling depth, this model is heavier than the 18” model. With a larger tine circle, the 20” model is more appropriate for power composting. Typical applications would be for gardens up to 10,000 square feet (1/4 acre), utilizing 32” and wider row spacing. If the garden expands beyond that size (or the time available is less), a kit is available to widen the 20” model to 26”.

• 18” fixed width. Our narrowest model is the logical choice for those who want to cultivate between closely spaced rows. Rated for an 8” tilling depth, its tine circle diameter is smaller than our larger models; thereby limiting its ability to power compost large volumes of plant material.

• 26” width. This model can be narrowed to 20” for cultivating. Its extra width makes sense for larger scale seedbed preparation (1/4 to ½ acre) and for lawn renovation.

• 30” width. This model can be narrowed to 26”. Again, its width makes it appropriate for larger scale operations and lawn renovation.

• 33” width. This is a significantly heavier tiller attachment that resembles the 3-point hitch versions for farm tractors. It is intended to satisfy market gardeners’ and landscapers’ need for primary tillage on plots ranging up to five acres. It can be narrowed to 27” for cultivating.
